Bound within this portfolio is Biljana’s digital record of her journey toward self-discovery through the lens of a camera.

It is a journey where fear is defeated by curiosity. An odyssey of uncovering what pure passion looks like. But most importantly, a voyage that has taught her about the importance of preserving traditions, culture, and the beauty cultivated by diversity.

About Biljana Jurukovski

Within these four corners…

We live within an era that is galvanised by fast-paced pressure and the homogenisation of cultures. Naturally, this poses a threat to customs and traditions that have been inherited by successive generations, with many already having dissolved in a similar manner to those of the past.
Within the parameters of a photograph, Biljana has been able to capture the raw intensity of people, tribes, and cultures that have managed to maintain their connection with their ancestry. A digital time capsule, if you will.
